Strength increased 3 to 69 permanent staff and 9 National Service/volunteer personnel. The non_teaching staff too shot up to 75. Since then other programmes were added making it 5 and visual arts was added later This being General arts, Science , Agriculture science, Business and Home Economics with the 4 year senior high school programme. Also Visual arts program. Its student population hit 1,960 and teaching staff of 88. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However the second batch wrote their final examination here in Winkogo in 1996. This was the first examination in Winkogo. The third batch was sent to KANTON SECONDARY SCHOOL, Tumu to have their final exams. For the just ended academic year 2009/2010 the student population was increased several fold from the initial 75 to 1480. Teaching staff strength increased from 3 to 69 permanent staff
